Autofill job applications — you review, we never auto-apply
Save your application profile once and fill out Workday, Greenhouse, Lever, Ashby, and iCIMS forms in seconds. Let AI draft the open-ended answers from your tailored resume. Everything stays on your device, and you approve every field before you submit.
The short version
- Fills the boring fields — name, email, phone, address, work history, links — across the big ATS platforms.
- AI-drafts the hard ones — “why are you a fit?”, “why this company?” — grounded in your real resume, for you to edit.
- Private by design — your profile lives on your device; demographic answers never leave it.
- Never auto-applies — it fills, you review, you submit.
Why most autofill breaks on Workday (and how we fixed it)
Workday, Greenhouse, and most modern career sites are built with React and similar frameworks that keep an internal copy of each field’s value. A typical autofill extension sets the visible value, but the framework never notices the change — so the form still thinks the field is empty until you click in and back out of it. It’s the single most common autofill complaint.
The ResumesTailor engine sets each value through the field’s native setter, resets the framework’s internal value tracker, and dispatches the full event sequence — including the change and blur events that forms validate on. The result: filled values that actually stick, on the SPA-heavy forms where other tools quietly fail. For Workday specifically, we key off its stable field identifiers and drive its dropdown widgets the way a person would.

Privacy-first by design
Autofill means handling your personal data, so we built it to keep that data with you. Your standard profile is stored in your browser. Voluntary demographic answers are encrypted on-device and are never transmitted to our servers or any AI model. When you ask AI to draft an open-ended answer, only the question plus a stripped snippet of your resume is sent — your name, contact details, and any demographic answers are removed first. Read the full privacy policy.
What it fills
- Contact & identity — name, email, phone, address, city/state/ZIP, country.
- Professional — current company and title, LinkedIn, GitHub, portfolio, work history.
- Screening — work authorization, sponsorship, notice period, salary expectation.
- Open-ended (AI) — “why are you a fit?”, “why this company?”, and similar, drafted from your tailored resume for you to edit.

Frequently asked questions
What is the ResumesTailor Auto-Filler?
It's a feature of the ResumesTailor browser extension that fills out job-application forms for you. It saves your application profile — name, contact details, work history, work authorization — on your device, then fills the matching fields on application forms across Workday, Greenhouse, Lever, Ashby, and iCIMS. For open-ended questions like 'Why are you a good fit?', it can draft an answer from your tailored resume that you review and edit before it's inserted. It never submits an application for you.
Which job sites and ATS does it support?
v1 targets the application forms hosted by Workday (the largest enterprise ATS), Greenhouse, Lever, Ashby, and iCIMS, plus a generic engine that works on most standard HTML application forms. Workday and Greenhouse get the most accuracy work because they carry the highest application volume.
Does it auto-apply or mass-apply to jobs?
No. The Auto-Filler fills fields only — you always review what's filled and click submit yourself. We deliberately don't do autonomous 'auto-apply' or bulk submission: it risks submitting wrong information, gets accounts flagged on LinkedIn and Indeed, and produces low-quality applications. Our whole approach is quality over volume.
Why do other autofill tools leave fields that don't 'stick' until you click in and out?
Many application forms are built with React, Angular, or Vue, which track a field's value internally. A naive autofill sets the visible value but the framework never registers the change, so the form thinks the field is still empty until you manually focus and blur it. The ResumesTailor engine fixes this by setting the value through the field's native setter, resetting the framework's internal value tracker, and dispatching the full event sequence — including the change and blur events the form validates on — so filled values are actually accepted.
Where is my data stored — is it private?
Your application profile is stored locally on your device, not on our servers. Basic field autofill happens entirely in your browser with no network call. Sensitive voluntary EEO/demographic answers (gender, race, disability, veteran status) are stored encrypted on-device and are never sent to our servers or to any AI. Only when you ask AI to draft an open-ended answer do we send the specific question plus a snippet of your resume — with your name, contact details, and demographic data stripped out — to generate a reply you review.
Will an ATS detect or penalize autofilled applications?
No. The Auto-Filler fills the same fields you would type, with the same values, and you submit the application yourself. There's no hidden text, no keyword stuffing, and nothing that an applicant tracking system treats differently from manual entry. It just saves you the retyping.
How much does it cost? Is the AI included?
Basic field autofill (name, contact, work history, address, links) is free on every plan. AI-drafted answers to open-ended questions are included on Pro and Pro+. See the pricing page for current plans.
